UPDATED: Italian School Fall Registration Underway

Registration for the Italian School NJ's fall season is now underway.

An exciting year is ahead, according to founders and organizers Natalia Bernini and Marilisa Zanarelli: The school, which currently offers lessons in Summit and Chatham, is adding classes for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2-year-olds starting in October.

For fall 2012, classes will be held instead in two new locations:

  • In Parsippany, classes will be at Parsippany PAL (on 33 Baldwin Road)
  • In Morristown, classes are at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship Church (21 Normandy Heights Road)

Classes for the youngest children will be held only in Parsippany.

Bernini and Zanarelli say the curriculum has been expanded.

"We experimented with the introduction of topics like geography, art, etc. with our students through interactive presentations and it was a great success," said Bernini. "These topics now will be part of our lessons."

The teachers say they also hope to offer Italian-focused classes for all ages in areas like cooking, art and dance during the academic year. "These classes will be open to all, not just our students," said Bernini.

The school's new website is up and running at www.italianschoolnj.com.

"You will be able to read about us, our programs, our schedule, and  download all the registration forms from there," said Bernini.

The school also offers a 10 percent discount for early registration before July 15.
