Lifeguard Training Course Offered at the Summit YMCA
The Summit YMCA will be offering lifeguard training courses, which includes Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications, once again through the spring and early summer, from April 16 through June 29. This course is open to participants 15 years or older, who must be able to demonstrate a set of pre-course swim skills; participants must attend all classes in their course to receive certification. Course fee is $300 for Y members; $400 for non-members.
Lifeguard training will be offered on from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm on the following dates:
April 16 through April 20; April 30 through May 4; May 14 through May 18; June 4 through June 8; June 25 through June 29.
In additions a Lifeguard Re-certification course will be
offered on Sunday, May 6, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Class fee is $150 for members; $225 for non-members. All classes take place at the Summit YMCA, 67 Maple Street, Summit. For more information contact Mary Loeser, Aquatics Director, 908-273-3330 ext. 1163. Registration is in person.
