Ice-T Gives a Shout-Out to Former Hometown of Summit
The rapper lived in Summit until he was 12 years old before moving to Los Angeles.
If you grew up in Summit and attended Brayton Elementary School in the 1960s, you may remember a kid named Tracy Marrow. His father Solomon worked over in Mountainside.
Or, maybe you watch a good amount of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and know the grown up Marrow: Ice-T.
One of the originators of L.A. gangsta' rap, Ice-T is currently promoting a new movie he made about the craft of rap music called Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap. The movie, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival opens today.
In this video, Ice-T gives a shout-out to the Hill City.
