Why Go: Family fun with a Valentine Theme, Family Scavenger Hunt, Family Decathlon, Kids in the Kitchen cooking, and Family Dance in the Auditorium.
3. MEATBALL MANIA: TECHNIQUE CLASS AT WILLIAMS-SONOMA
Where/When: Short Hills Mall; Sunday, multiple times.
Why Go: We all love comfort food and meatballs are a favorite around the world. Learn how to make tender rounds of ground meat seasoned with herbs and spices--from classic Italian to fragrantly spiced Moroccan and Vietnamese meatballs--that are perfect for family suppers.
4. 25TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL JURIED SHOW
Where/When: Visual Arts Center of New Jersey; Daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: The 25th Annual International Juried Show presents artwork in all media from artists residing in the United States and around the globe. Joan Young, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, is this year's juror.

5. GIRLS BASKETBALL AT PLANFIELD
Where/When: Plainfield High School; Saturday, 1 p.m.
Why Go: Girls Varsity Basketball visits Plainfield in their second matchup of the season to end a three-game road trip.

Pricing: Adults $25, seniors $20, children under 15 free.
