Local Students Participate in Gov. Scholars Program

The 2012 New Jersey Governor's School included students from Scotch Plains, Summit, Cranford and Westfield.

 

The New Jersey Governors School hosted several students from Union County towns including Westfield and Summit. The elite academic program offers students a summer stay at Drew University. According to the program's website, "The Governor's School in the Sciences at Drew University focuses on such subjects as chemistry, physics, mathematics, quantum mechanics, combinatorics, and molecular orbital theory."

A press release from the program lists the following students as graduates from the 2012 three-week summer program.

This is really a good opportunity for the local students to participate in Govt. organized programs. There are very less events organized in local schools where they can show their skills and enhance internal capabilities.
