On Thursday night, at 10 p.m., locals will again see images of their beloved Seaside Heights, as seen through the eyes of MTV's Jersey Shore.

And if you watched Season 2 of The Jersey Shore, then you know that our "favorite" ultra-tanned, foul-mouthed, hair-gel-infused, fist-pumping pack of G-words were down in Miami over the winter.

Why a show called "The Jersey Shore" had to be taken out of New Jersey still boggles my mind, but I guess they had to venture to warmer climates to get what they needed in the "off-season."   

For most Jersey Shore natives, the hot spots of Miami don't have the same recognition to us as the Boulevard and boardwalk of Seaside do. Lucky for us, Season 3 was brought back to where it all started during Season 1 and where it belongs, Seaside Heights, to again get our voyeur fix.

OK, so maybe not "lucky" for all of us, since I know a lot of the locals despise these kinds of folks, and usually refer to them as "Bennies" and in even more colorful terms.

I, for one, have grown to adore this show and most of the cast members. I love to watch where they go, what places they hang out in, who's in the background that I might know, etc., and that's what this column is all about.

I find it funny how they were all crammed into that tiny three-room house that most of the locals can find and have found on the Ocean Ave. strip in Seaside Heights.  It's crazy to see the crowds that still linger LONG after taping of the show has wrapped up, and even come out for the New Year's Eve "Snooki Ball Drop" that counted down to 2011 with our small friend inside a light up ball, a la Times Square.     

Yes, I was there, and I'm looking forward to see how the places I know and love will be depicted in Season 3.

What familiar Seaside sites will you get to see them trample their drunken selves through? Which of your favorite local bars or clubs will fights break out in? How many times will you say, "I've been there a million times, why do they have to invade here?"  Most importantly, will any of you fellow Jersey Shore fans (a.k.a. stalkers!) pop up in the background in an episode or two, or three…(Maybe I'll even spot myself!)?

So set your DVRs or glue yourselves to MTV on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. beginning tomorrow, Jan. 6 to find out.

I know there will be Jersey Shore "watching parties" all over the place, filled with people avidly loving and hating this guilty pleasure, and you can join me on Patch every Friday morning to share your thoughts on who's back and who's new to the Jersey Shore and what happened during this week's drunken stupor.

So get the vernacular down -- all except of the original cast members will be back again: Snooki (my personal fave), The Situation, Pauly D, Sammi "Sweatheart," Ronnie , Vinny and - new to Season 3 - we'll all get to meet Deena.

Apparently Deena is a good friend of Snooki's brought in to fill in the high-heels of Angelina who was shunned by the group and packed up and left Miami toward the end of Season 2.
