IN SHORT
Things looked desperate for the Hilltoppers halfway through the game against Ridgewood.  The team's outlook didn't improve through most of the second half.  Summit was down a goal with just 2:30 left in the game before Sonny Round tied things up.  Summit's real hero, however, was Mike Ford; who scored the winning goal with 30 seconds left on the clock as his teammates erupted with cheers on the sideline.

HILLTOPPER OF THE GAME
Mike Ford—
Two goals on four shots with one assist.

Although not the team's leading scorer in the game, Ford's goal in the final seconds of the game not only grabbed the team a victory, but ensured that their state-record of a win streak would stay intact.

OTHER KEY PERFORMANCES
Nick Kilkowski (Summit), three goals on five shots with an assist; Sonny Round (Summit), one goal on four shots with two assists; Tim Yager (Summit), one goal on three shots.

THEY SAID IT
"Traditionally, we usually get very exciting games with Ridgewood, and they definitely showed that today.  They're well-coached and a very tough team.  We just kept playing and playing hard, but down the stretch the game could have gone either way." –Head coach Jim Davidson
