Nighttime Baseball Event for Special Needs Players Returns
TryCan is set to host a family Friday night lights baseball game for special needs players.
Summit Department of Community Programs and TryCAN are proud to be hosting the 3rd Annual Baseball Night Under the Lights on Friday, June 1 at Jefferson School Field at 110 Ashwood Avenue in Summit, with a tailgate starting at 6:30p.m. and game at 7:15p.m. Rain Date is set for June 8.
If you are looking for a feel-good, inspirational night, please join us. Family, friends, teen peer mentors and coaches will cheer on the baseball skills of our special needs players while our wonderful families put on a great tailgate.
No RSVP is needed but would be helpful. Special thanks to the Summit Elks Lodge, Summit FMBA, the Summit Fire Department and Summit Junior Baseball for their generous support of this and past events.
For more information or if you are interested in volunteering or bringing items for the tailgate, contact Kevin at summitcan@gmail.com or908-277-2932 x13.
This is a popular event where we celebrate a great season of recreation activities for our TryCAN kids. TryCAN is a nonprofit parent organization that helps coordinate recreation programs for youth with special needs.
TryCAN is a collaboration of the communities of Berkeley Heights, New Providence, Summit and others that offer a comprehensive array of recreation programs for children with special needs or those who need special accommodation. There are no non-resident fees involved and all welcome!
