Saint Peter's Prep Graduates 2 Summit Teens

Saint Peter’s Preparatory School in Jersey City celebrated its 133rd Commencement at Saint Peter’s College on June 5. Of the 183 graduates, two are Summit residents.

Brendan Higgins, son of Mary and Kevin Higgins, was a member of the Campus Ministry Team, both attending retreats and serving as a leader.  He was also a member of the History Club, the Intramural Club, Marauder Nation, Model UN, the Petrean, the Society of Comedic appreciation, the Spanish Club, and the Student Council.  He played football and rugby at Prep and was a member of the swim team, serving as captain in his senior year.  He was recognized with a Spirit Award for his devotion to his school.  Brendan will attend The College of the Holy Cross.

David Lizza, son of Sandra and Charles Lizza, was an Eagle Scout, was a member of the Academic Bowl Team, the Italian Club, the National Honor Society, Pax Christi, Sociedad Honoria Hispanica, and was a freshman ambassador.  He was president of the Stock Market Club and assisted with the Mission Drive and was a member of the golf team.  David, who graduated Magna cum laude, was presented with his diploma by his father, Prep Class of 1974 and former chairperson of the Board of Trustees.  David will attend Georgetown University.
