Summit Girl Scores Big at Roller Skating Nationals

The elementary school student, 8, will compete next in the 'Evening of Champions' roller skating event.

Madison-Jade Bishop, a Franklin Elementary school student took home a silver medal in the primary girls category at the roller skating nationals in the summer.  Bishop, 8, is part of the All American Rollermagic skaing team. Overall, Bishop came in 5th place to close out her competition in the final round. She competed against about 35 girls in the competition.

But this pint sized roller skating champ isn't stopping there. "Madison is now working on a new program for the 'Evening of Champions', " says her mother Jean-Rose. That skating contest takes place on Oct. 28, when Bishop will be honored for her win at nationals.
