Summit Hotel Will Host Unique Theater Experience

The Hotel Project of 15-minute plays hits the Grand Summit Hotel January 27 – 29, 2012

After a sold-out run in Queretaro, Mexico in July, Hotel Project will receive its United States premiere at two Tri-State area hotels January 27 through February 5, 2012.  Produced by The Internationalists and Neighborhood Productions, Hotel Project is a theatrical experience for one spectator at a time, performed in and inspired by a hotel and created by local and international teams of playwrights and directors.

The creative team, which includes Mexican playwright/director Alfonso Cárcamo, American director and Summit native, Doug Howe, Romanian director Ana Margineanu, Romanian playwright Peca Stefan and American director Tamilla Woodard, will develop three 15-minute plays specifically for The Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, New Jersey to be performed January 27 through 29, 2012.

The uniqueness of the project consists in the relationship between performer and spectator. For participating artists, it offers the prospect of deep collaboration across national and lingual borders and the creation of lasting artistic partnerships and creative influence.

Tickets are $45 for performances at The Grand Summit Hotel in New Jersey and $55 for performances at the Washington Jefferson Hotel in midtown Manhattan.  Tickets will go on sale January 1, 2012.
