Summit "Screen on the Green" Event Postponed Until July 30
Summit’s Screen on the Green’s Willy Wonka Postponed- Series continues Monday, July 30
Summit’s Screen on the Green showing of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" has been postponed until Monday, July 30. Mother Nature has not cooperated of late with the City’s fabulous line up in this FREE Family Film Series.
Predictions of dangerous lightning and rain conditions also postponed last week’s showing of "Dolphin Tale".
No worry that film has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 16. The Screen on the Green FREE Family Movie Series is in its second year and has been enjoyed by thousands of area residents. A family friendly Dance Party with popular DJ Mike Fusco of Summit Soundz starts at 8p.m.
The evenings corporate sponsors set up tents and provide promotional items, snacks and surprises. Hoboken Farms will be on hand to sell sandwiches and snack foods too. The movies begin at dark, shown on a giant inflatable screen. Costumed characters and musical performers often join the fun on the lawn of the Village Green. The Village Greenis located on the corner of Maple and Broad in Summit, right across from the Summit Train Station. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnic suppers and flashlights and come out for a great experience. It’s the drive in experience, without the drive!
