The Week Ahead: Final School Planning Workshop, Summit Hockey, Holiday Boutique and More...

Here's a look at some of the events this week in Summit.

Monday

The Summit hockey team takes on Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the first round of the 29th annual Cron tournament at 6:00 p.m. over at Warinanco Park in Roselle.

Thezoning board meets tonight at City Hall at 7:30pm.

 

Tuesday

Scrabble night at Summit Free Public Library from 7p.m. to 9p.m.

The Common Council meets at 7:30p.m. at City Hall.

 

Thursday

Holiday Boutique at the Carter House to benefit the Summit Historical Society, from 10a.m. to 3p.m. (90 Butler Parkway)

The Summit Housing Authority will hold an open bid meeting today at 11a.m.

 

Friday

Free afternoon chamber music concert at 12:15 pm at Central Presbyterian Church.

Bilingual Buds open house for Mandarin and Spanish preschool from 10a.m. to 12p.m. 

 

Saturday

Final Summit Public School Planning meeting for this year will be held in the Multi Purpose Room of Summit Primary Center at Jefferson (110 Ashwood Ave.) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Summit YMCA has holiday breakfast with Santa at 9:00 am, 10:00 am and 11:00 am. $10 per family. Call to pre-register, seating is limited. 908-273-3330

 

Sunday

Free horse and wagon rides from Lyric Park on the corner of Bank and Beachwood from 12:30p.m. – 2:30 p.m. 

Holiday Puppet Show at The Square Yard (434 Springfield Avenue) 12:30p.m. and 2p.m. Call to make a reservation (908) 277 - 4580.
