Two people were hospitalized in an accident on River Road near Butler Parkway last night around 9 p.m. According to a report, a west-bound car was rear-ended on River Road as it stopped to make a left turn.

The driver of one car and the passenger of the other car were taken to Overlook Medical Center by the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad to be treated for their injuries. 

"The driver of the second car declined medical attention," said John Staunton of the first aid squad.
