Fall/Spring Internship with the Summit Republican City Committee (SRCC)
The SRCC is seeking motivated high school or college students to fill internship opportunities available for fall and spring. These positions are for individuals who are interested in gaining valuable hands-on experience through supporting local and national election activities.
What will you be doing?
We need individuals to do a variety of duties including, but not limited to: managing our social media activity – tweeting, Facebook, youtube, and website maintenance.
Conduct research, run reports, manage excel spreadsheets, participate in, and plan, a variety of ongoing events. There will be many exciting projects for those who want to learn.
This is a fantastic way to build a résumé and meet people within your community and the civil service arena. Furthermore, you will meet professionals in varied careers who can be valuable professional resources for you as you define and pursue a career. All motivated Students are encouraged to apply. If you are interested in, or planning to pursue a career in social sciences, all the better!
We’re always looking for interns who want to learn and are not afraid to share new ideas. Hours are flexible.
Salary Range: This is an unpaid position, but college credit may be possible. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator).
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should be enthusiastic, flexible, and possess verbal and written communication skills. Willing to work in a team environment.
For a social media intern, we need someone experienced with Facebook, Twitter, website maintenance, and YouTube. For organizational projects you must possess working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Political experience is a plus but not required.
