  we join forces with the residents of Rahway and thousands of communitie
 s nationwide for the&ldquo\;29th Annual National Night Out&rdquo\; (NNO)
 \, crime and drug prevention event.&nbsp\;\nNational Night Out is design
 ed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness\; (2) Generate s
 upport for local anti-crime efforts\; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit
  and police community partnerships\; and (4) Send a message to criminals
  letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.&nbsp\;
  NNO has proven to be an effective and enjoyable program that promotes p
 olice-community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.\nThe event
 \, which will take place on Thursday\, August 2nd\, and will be located 
 in historic downtown Rahway at the intersection of Elm Avenue and Irving
  Street from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.&nbsp\; Our event will not occur on t
 he traditional first Tuesday of the month\, since we are running it in c
 onjunction with The City of Rahway&rsquo\;s Art district First Thursday 
 celebration.\n&nbsp\;
