DESCRIPTION:Union County College is holding educational and fun summer pr
 ograms offered for youth ages 11 &ndash\; 17 at Union County College&rsq
 uo\;s Cranford campus.&nbsp\; Most classes run one or two weeks long and
  a range of different classes are offered.&nbsp\; For parents who want t
 heir children to maintain an academic edge over the summer\, consider cl
 asses like &ldquo\;Middle School Math Review\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Writing R
 ollercoaster\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Expository Writing\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Read
 ing Enhancement\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Summer Book Club\,&rdquo\; or &ldquo\;
 Chess Club.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; An SAT prep class will also be offered for bo
 th verbal and math sections and this test prep course will teach importa
 nt test-taking strategies.\nFor students who want to learn something new
 \, the college offers classes including &ldquo\;Build Your Own Web Page\
 ,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;The Artist Within\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Design Your Own Co
 mic Book\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Guitar\,&rdquo\; or &ldquo\;Mock Trial Worksh
 op.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; The college also partners with Black Rocket Productio
 ns to offer innovative technology-oriented classes including &ldquo\;Mak
 e Your First App\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Make Your First Video Game\,&rdquo\; 
 &ldquo\;LEGO Films and Stop Action\,&rdquo\; or &ldquo\;X-Games: The Ult

 ll classes are affordable and are taught by highly qualified instructors
 \, most of whom are NJ-certified school teachers. Classes run all summer

 or students ages 14+ run in the afternoon from 1 p.m. &ndash\; 4 p.m.&nb
