Double Belonging: One Person, Two Traditions
The author of Without Buddha I Could Not Be a Christian will describe the growing phenomenon of “double belonging” – how and why many people find they belong to more than one religion at the same time. He will describe his own journey and how his study and practice of Buddhism have clarified and strengthened his Roman Catholic-Christian identity.

Paul F. Knitter, a former Roman Catholic priest, is the Paul Tillich Professor of Theology, World Religions and Culture at Union Theological Seminary. His interest and publications over a long career have centered on how to promote a globally responsible dialogue among the religions of the world.
