DESCRIPTION:The Union County Department of Parks and Community  Renewal a
 nnounces the opening of the county&rsquo\;s two public swimming pools. &
 nbsp\; The Walter E. Ulrich Memorial Pool located in Rahway River Park\,
  St.  George&rsquo\;s Avenue in Rahway\, will be open for  the season fr
 om Saturday\, June 23\, through Labor Day\, September 3\, 2012.&nbsp\; T
 he  John Russell Wheeler Memorial Pool located in Wheeler Park\, West  S
 timpson Avenue and Route 1 in Linden\, will be open from Monday\, June  
 25\, through Friday\, August 24\, 2012.\nSwimming lessons will be held a
 t Ulrich Pool  beginning Monday\, July 2\, 2012.&nbsp\; Applications are
  available at either pool  office for all ages\, beginners through adult
 s.&nbsp\; Pre-registration is  required.&nbsp\; Register early\; classes
  are limited and are offered  on a first-come\, first-served basis.\nOpe
 n Swim Sessions for Seniors (62 and older) and  for People with Disabili
 ties are held at Ulrich Pool on Mondays from 6-8  p.m. and at Wheeler Po
 ol on Wednesdays from 12 noon-1 p.m.&nbsp\; Admission  to these special
