42nd Annual Calvary House Tour to Showcase 5 Stunning Summit Homes - Thursday May 1st

The Calvary House Tour is celebrating its 42nd year with a stunning line up of five lovely Summit homes showcased on their tour.  All are architecturally distinctive and freshly decorated and are especially wonderful to view amidst the flowering gardens of spring.  This is a welcome community tradition that never fails to please.  Lillie Zachary, a long time Summit resident, interior designer, and parishioner of Calvary Church, conceived the idea of organizing a springtime house tour to promote fellowship within our community and to help raise funds for worthy outreach efforts of the Woman of Calvary Episcopal Church.  Some recipients that have received support from the House Tour include Apostles House and its associated Food Bank for homeless women and children, St. Philip’s Academy of Newark, and The Good Shepherd Home for orphans in Cameroon, Africa.

This year’s house tour will take place on Thursday, May 1 from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. It provides an opportunity to view five distinctive homes that showcase great style and design trends in the community.  One of the stunning homes featured on the tour is pictured here and was designed by the architect John James, AIA, with interior design by Valerie Grant Interiors.

Tickets purchased in advance are $35 and are available for sale at four convenient locations: Paperfolio , The Muddy Boot, and Lois Schneider Realtors in Summit.   Tickets will be $40 on the day of the tour and may be purchased at Calvary Church, 31 Woodland Avenue, Summit.

The “Women of Calvary” is an organization representing Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, NJ.  Our mission is dedicated to encouraging fellowship and opportunities to strengthen our commitment to people in need within our parish, our community, and our world.  For more information on the tour, visit www.calvarysummit.org
