Knitting Classes for Adults and Children at Summit Y

Learn to knit at the Y, classes and open knitting sessions begin Tuesday, March 1. All classes are open to the community, Y membership is not required. An experienced instructor will guide you through yarn gauge, needle size, yarn composition, as well as teach a variety of stitches. Make projects such as scarves, hats, cowls, baby clothes, fingerless gloves, mittens or stuffed animals. If you are already a knitter, bring your current projects to the open knitting sessions. Adult classes and open knitting sessions run on Tuesdays, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, free for Y members; $5 per session for non-members. Knitting classes for children ages 7 to 12 meet on Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm, 8 week session, $75 Y members; $112.50 non-members. Learn to Knit for Adults run on Thursdays, 7:00 to 9:00 pm, $37.50 Y members; $75 non-members for 6 week session.

Whatever you knitting level, beginner or experienced, join us as we relax together while working on individual knitting projects among new friends.
