Café Theatre Ends its Summer Run at MONDO this Weekend!

Looking for something to do on a lazy summer evening - maybe some great entertainment and catered food? You can find it right in downtown Summit, at MONDO's Brownstone Theatre, 426 Springfield Ave.

Café Theatre is a collection of eight short comedic plays performed by a talented ensemble of actors in the intimate space on MONDO's third floor. If you arrive before 8pm, you can also enjoy a light dinner personally prepared by a renowned local chef. It's like having a piece of New York City five minutes from your front door!

The popular ten-minute play festival was brought to Summit by Café Theatre producer David Hoffman and MONDO creator Annette Dwyer one year ago.

As Hoffman explains, “Last summer was our first production in Summit, and we sold out our last four shows. People here love the arts. This production is fortunate to have brilliant actors performing comedies from eight talented playwrights. It's simply a fun evening!”

Dwyer adds,“Why go to New York for quality theatre when you can walk down the street and see it right here?"

Café Theatre’s "SUMMER SHORTS - Off The Hook" will be ending its summer run this weekend. Remaining show dates are July 24th, 25th and 26th. Ticket price is $24 for adults and $15 for students. Show time is 8:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 for those would like to have dinner prepared by the Pampered Palate Personal Chef. Dessert and coffee will be available to everyone before the performance and during intermission.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the theatre box office, located on the first floor in MONDO, or reserved by phone at 917-969-4534. For more show information, visit www.cafetheatre.org.
