KENT PLACE SENIOR SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN PRESTIGIOUS PRINCETON UNIVERSITY SYMPOSIUM

Kent Place senior Ivana Kohut of West Orange has been selected to participate in the fourteenth annual Princeton University Creative Arts & Humanities Symposium being held on the Princeton campus the weekend of September 27-29, 2013. High schools throughout the country were permitted to nominate one outstanding senior and only 90 were chosen for this prestigious program.

The Symposium provides the opportunity for talented students to get a taste for studying the creative arts and humanities at a university level. The Symposium, which provides close interaction with the university’s faculty, gives students a unique insight into what the academic experience is like at Princeton. The goal of the Symposium is to “reinforce interest in the creative arts and humanities among the nation’s best students.”

"Kent Place School was thrilled to nominate Ivana Kohut for the Princeton Symposium. She is an outstanding scholar-leader and will undoubtedly represent our school very well at such an elite program,” stated Jennifer Simpson, Kent Place Director of College Advising, and Elizabeth Woodall, Director of the Upper School.
