"Stuff the Bus" pulls up to The Connection

The United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign stopped by The Connection to donated fully packed backpacks to children in the AfterSchool Program .

Debbie-Ann Anderson, United Way COO, asked local businesses to donate the school supplies to community partners. Stuff the Bus helps to ensure that local children in the community are prepared for academic success in the new school year.

Employees of Comcast, CR Bard, Hub International, and Linde donated backpacks, binders, calculators, notebooks, crayons, erasers, paper, glue, highlighters, index cards, lunch boxes, markers, pencils, folders, rulers, scissors and more.

“We are so thankful for all the donations” says AfterSchool Enrichment Program Director, Michelle Stelluto. “Our resources are so limited and the supplies provided give our students the opportunity to excel in school”.
