Betsy Dollinger Bernstein To Speak At Fortnightly Club Meeting Feb. 13

The Fortnightly Club of Summit is a women's group dedicated to volunteerism, fundraising, community service and outreach. All are welcome at the Feb. 13 meeting.

The Fortnightly Club of Summit will hold its next General Meeting on Feb. 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Historic Twin Maples, 214 Springfield Ave., Summit, NJ. General Meetings are open to the public and new memberships are welcome. 

Betsy Dollinger Bernstein, Founder and President of bdb marketing, a boutique theatrical marketing firm of Summit, New Jersey, will join the club at this meeting to discuss her career in Broadway and off-Broadway productions.

Betsy believes in custom marketing strategies that are quantified with measurable results. Betsy has spent more than twenty years working in the theatre business in capacities as varied as marketing and promotion, casting and creative development, producing, programming and booking. She has worked on many Broadway and off-Broadway productions including; Annie, Wicked, Oleanna, Don’t Quit Your Night Job, Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun, Grease, This is Our Youth, What’s Wrong With This Picture and with many producers and organizations including; Arielle Tepper Madover, David Stone, Jeffrey Finn, Jed Bernstein, Barry and Fran Weissler, Junkyard Dog Productions, The Araca Group, Serino Coyne, Situation Interactive, Broadway Across America and The Broadway League.

bdb marketing is currently representing ANNIE and WICKED on Broadway. Betsy is a member of The Broadway League and The Junior League of Summit. She is a Trustee at Newark Academy and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

Betsy will speak about her experience on the business side of theater, transitioning from the "performer" dream to finding her way in the complex and fascinating world of Broadway marketing and producing. Betsy is a Summit resident and working mother of two.  She will share her background and experiences with the group and take questions from the audience.
