Update: Saturday Egg Hunt Postponed Until April 7

The free Summit PAL event for pre-schoolers through 5th graders will be pushed to April due to prediction of bad weather on Saturday.

Summit PAL Egg Hunt Cancelled Due to Wet Weather Predictions
Rescheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2012

Predictions of heavy rain and wet ground conditions has caused the cancellation of the Summit PAL Annual Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, March 31, 2012. The event which entertains hundreds of area families will be rescheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2012. The event will be held at the Summit Family Aquatic Center, 100 Ashwood Avenue, Summit, NJ at 10:00 AM. Everyone is invited to come next week and enjoy the festivities. The Summit PAL Annual Egg Hunt is planned for Saturday, March 31 (with a Rain Date of Saturday, April 7). The event is held at the located at 100 Ashwood Ave.

Summit children, pre-school through 5th grade are invited to participate. The hunt starts at 10a.m., so please arrive early. Parking can get quite crowded and you don’t want to disappoint your little one.

Children’s entertainment, costumed characters, Summit Soundz DJ and other surprises are in store for the eager egg hunters. Why not come early and enjoy the entertainment? Prizes for special eggs and door prizes are included in this FREE event. Here are some tips for parents to make the event a great experience:

  • Parents of very small children, may want to smuggle a couple of candies or prizes in their pockets to avoid any disappointment.
  • Bring your cameras for a photo shoot with the Easter Bunny. 
  • Wear rubber boots or sneakers as the ground is often moist at this time of year.
  • Eggs that have a special message or a star/dot are prize winners. Bring those eggs up to the prize desk. 
  • You may bring your own baskets, or the Summit PAL will be happy to provide one for you. 
  • A fully accessible portable toilet is available.
