Opening Weekend For Summit Farmers Market A Success

SUMMIT, N.J., May 12, 2014 – It was a beautiful and sunny opening day for the Summit Farmers Market on Sunday, May 11th

This year the market opened with a mix of 29 farmers, purveyors of locally sourced goods and downtown locals like Brownie Points Bakery and Pizza Vita. The Summit Farmers Market, scheduled every Sunday from 8 AM to 1 PM through November will also feature entertainment, information booths from civic groups and local merchant tables in the coming weeks.

“We are more than thrilled with the turnout at the Farmers Market this past Sunday,” explains Marin Mixon, Executive Director of Summit Downtown, Inc. (SDI). “It is a hugely popular initiative that SDI is proud to bring to Summit.”

The Summit Farmers Market is located in the Park & Shop Lot on the corner of Maple Street and Deforest Avenue.
