Overlook Medical Center Changes Visitor Policy Amid Flu Concerns

No visitors under the age of 18 will be permitted temporarily.

Overlook Medical Center has temporarily changed its visitor policies to decrease the risk of exposing patients, visitors and staff to the flu, according to its Facebook page

No visitors under the age of 18 will be pemitted. The hospital is limiting visitors to two per patient and asking those who are sick, or have an unwell member of their household, to stay home.

Visitors are asked to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before and after visiting. All visitors to the maternity centers or the neonatal intensive care units (NICU) must wear a mask, which is available at the unit’s nursing station.

The medical center is offering additional flu information, provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, here.
