Summit: Closures, Cancellations and Postponements

Winter Storm will bring the heaviest snowfall into Friday night.

Here are the most recent announcements:

• All Summit Public Schools are dismissed early today, Feb. 8.

• The Big Band Dance is cancelled for tonight, Feb. 8. 

• All high school events and activities are cancelled for today, Feb. 8 and tomorrow, Feb. 9.

• Due to the impending storm, the Speak Up Summit “State of the District Meeting,” scheduled for this Saturday, Feb. 9 has been POSTPONED. It will be held on Saturday, Apr. 13, at 9 a.m. in the Summit High School library. Please contact Melanie Wilson, msw1230@comcast.net, with questions.

• Cycle for Survival in Summit, originally scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 9 at Equinox Summit, will now be postponed until Sunday, Feb. 24 due to the impending weather impacting the area this evening and tomorrow.
