Summit Entryway Tree Project Celebrates Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

This sculpture is a permanent installation, created by artist Douwe Blumberg and Summit Public Art to bring cultural vitality to Summit through public art.

Mayor Ellen Dickson, Vivian Furman, Johnathan Kanter and members of Summit Public Art officially unveiled Summit’s Silver Sentinel Tree on Friday at 4 p.m. The sculpture serves as a unique entrance sign welcoming residents and visitors to Summit.

The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the corner of Broad Street and Dayton Street, by the Summit city sign. This sculpture is a permanent installation, created by artist Douwe Blumberg and Summit Public Art to bring cultural vitality to Summit through public art.
