Concert: Songs of the Season, Songs of the Spirit

On Sunday December 11th, 2pm - 4pm, the Unitarian Church in Summit will present "Songs of the Season, Songs of the Spirit".  Featuring the Reverend Shawn Garvey, this concert will include traditional holiday music, along with folk songs in the holiday spirit, from such artists as John Denver, James Taylor, Don McLean and Simon and Garfunkel.

Raised on the social justice-oriented folk music of the 1960's and 1970's,  Shawn Garvey brings a rich heritage of music and message with him wherever he goes. Shawn is currently the pastor at the Stanley Congregational Church in Chatham. He has performed with Livingston Taylor, does John Denver tribute concerts with his friend Steve Weisberg (John's former lead guitarist), as well as his own solo shows.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and children 12 and under are free.  They will be available at the door.  We hope that you'll consider this opportunity to take a break with your family during the busy holiday season and share this spirit renewing musical experience together.
