Acclaimed vocalist Laura Hull & Her Jazz Gems will present Marquee Melodies: The Music of the Movies, a retrospective of rarely heard movie music by the great masters of American songwriting, many of whom originally wrote for the stage before composing for the soundtracks of Hollywood's Silver Screen. Music of the Movies celebrates the songs from such classic films as To Have and Have Not, Rhythm on the River, and Song of the Thin Man. Along the way, Laura will share a bevy of anecdotes about the films, the songwriters, and the stars who sang the songs.
Jazz on the Terrace is presented by Reeves-Reed Arboretum and co-sponsored by the NJ Jazz Society.
