National Dance Day at The Connection

The Connection puts on its dancing shoes for National Dance Day!

 The Connection for Women and Families will be participating in the 3rd annual National Dance Day on July 28th.

National Dance Day is a grassroots initiative that encourages people of all ages to get up and move. This year, The Connection will once again be devoting an entire day to dance!

The day’s activities for adults will kickoff at 9am with a Barre Sculpt class followed by Zumba at 10am where the official “Everybody” National Dance Day Routine will be taught by Kristen Quigley Russell. Stick around to learn the official National Dance Day “Master” Routine with Laura Tarnofsky in the Master Jazz/Hip Hop class followed by Kendra Thyne teaching a Ballet class then round off the day with a Broadway Jazz class taught by Heather Denges.

Children’s Activities for the day start at 10:30 with a Zumbatonic class for 4-6 year olds. At noon, 7-12 year olds can learn today’s most popular dance routines and play dance games. At 1:00pm children 18 months to 3 years, with a parent, are welcome to participate in You and Me Dance, with older siblings welcome.

Dance is a great way to keep children active and fit!

This event is FREE and open to everyone. Donations are welcome with proceeds split between The Connection and the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
