Rock & Roll Photography for Teens at the Morris Museum

An exhibit featuring images from Nancy Ori, as well as her teen students will be on view at the Morris Museum from August 18-September 4, 2011.  Nancy Ori is a well known local photographer, teacher and fine artist who has taught and exhibited at the Morris Museum for several years.

This summer, students ages 12-18 were invited to participate in a three day digital photography workshop. During the program, students worked with professional photographer Nancy Ori while exploring technique, subject matter, composition, and use of camera settings.

The workshop's final project is related to The History of Rock N Roll in New Jersey exhibition on view in the main gallery. For their exhibit, Ori's students created a series of images with a Rock N Roll theme, by picking a song title or lyric and illustrating it photographically.
