Seniors Sing! Kick-off January 21st

Seniors Sing! will bring new adventures in choral singing to seniors in the Summit area.  Come and join other mature adults who want to keep moving, learning, laughing and having fun.  You may be retired, but never too old to open up new worlds for yourself through music.

Seniors Sing was inspired by the Young at heart Chorus of Northampton, MA who formed a chorus, took the show on the road, and even had a movie made about their group released in 2008.  To quote some of those chorus members, it added to their spirit of adventure, comraderie, and zest for life.  It brings out the best in you.

Judith Josephs, Director of Summit Community Programs, approached the Summit Area Public Foundation for financial support to offer a choral program to Summit Area Seniors.  As she said, "we continue to search for new and innovative programs that will introduce folks into a new phase of their lives, enhance their experience and keep them actively engaged in our communities."  It is not limited to Summit Seniors, but is open to all in the area and is meant to foster collaborative programs among communities.  The program will be planned jointly with the Continuo Arts Founda;tion, and conducted by Dr. Candace Wicke.
