Health and Wellness Fair Today at Summit YMCA

Here are five things you need to know March 22, 2011:

1. There will be a health and wellness fair at the Summit YMCA today from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Come for nutrition tips, screenings, healthy snacks and give aways. The event is free.
2. Residents can expect delays at the Transfer Station, upper level due to an equipment maintenance project. Transfer Station staff will be available to direct residents to the appropriate areas for waste disposal.
3. Vendors who wish to supply the Parking Services Agency with a proposal to provide valet parking services for non-resident commuter parking in the Broad Street East Lot, the RFP documents are available for pick-up at the Parking Services Agency office at 512 Springfield Avenue on the 2nd floor of City Hall. There is a nonrefundable fee of $50 for the document. Proposals are due on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 by 11 a.m. To obtain a copy, contact the Parking Services Agency at 908-522-5100 or at parking@cityofsummit.org.
4. There will be an SAT/ACT workshop tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Summit Youth Center.
5. The Summit varsity baseball team will host Parsippany in a scrimmage tongith at 5:15 p.m. at Summit High School.
