'Sopranos' Actor Stars in Staged Reading at MONDO

Robert Funaro, best known for the role of Eugene Pontecorvo in the Emmy Award-winning television series 'The Sopranos,' appears in a reading of Sam Shepard's 'Fool For Love.'

Actor Robert Funaro, best known for his role as Eugene Pontecorvo in the Emmy-winning series 'The Sopranos,' will star in the first of several readings as part of a Sam Shepard festival at MONDO Summit.

The debut reading, 'Fool for Love,' a haunting look at the power of obsessive love, is produced by Summit resident and past president at the Summit Playhouse, Sally Ponzio. It will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. 

The cast also includes Summit resident and actor Arnold Buchiane, FJ Robertis, who has also performed at the Summit Playhouse, and film and theatre actress Leigh Anne West.

All are directed by Frank Licato, who has been working for over three decades as an actor, director, producer and teacher.
