The B Street Band Gives An A+ Performance

The B Street Band, the self professed best Bruce Springstein tribute band, gave an inspired performance to a crowd of hundreds on the Summit village green.

Just one week after the death of Abelino Mazariego, the community came together Tuesday night to enjoy the sounds of the official Bruce Springstein coverband, the B Street Band.

Director of Community Programs Judith Josephs welcomed the crowd and said an event like the Hot Summer Night's Concert is the beginning of the healing process the Summit community must go through.

Josephs estimates nearly a 1,000 people packed the Village Green where Investor's Savings Bank handed out free ice cream and green glow sticks. Otterstedt Insurance handed out free Italian Ice and balloons. Summit Patch was even on hand giving out bubbles.

Investor's Savings Band announced they will match donations made to the Mazariego Family from now until Monday up to $5,000.

The Beth Anne Clayton Band was rescheduled for Aug. 2 after being postponed due to weather earlier this month.
