A Party with a Purpose

Party kicks off the For Art's Sake Weekend 2012 fundraising drive.

Everyone enjoys a great party, and the Art Center is no exception. On Thursday evening, February 8, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey kicked off the For Art’s Sake Weekend 2012 fundraising drive at the Summit home of co-chair Jenny Reinhardt. FAS is a three-day event to be held April 20-22, and will include: a visit to the working studio of internationally-recognized artist Willie Cole and the home of world-class contemporary art collectors Ellyn and Saul Dennison; a silent art auction and cocktail party; and a community open house.

FAS event proceeds will support education programs, exhibitions, and outreach initiatives that benefit children, adults, seniors, and those with special needs.

The FAS committee were in attendance to greet the guests, who included Art Center Board members and supporters (photo #1). The party featured champagne and festive cocktails (photo 2) and wonderful food from David Ellis Events (photo #3). We definitely had a party with purpose!
