Beadluxe Closes After a Decade in Summit

Owner Emily York is looking for a new location and will offer in-home parties and events in the interim.

Beadluxe, a design-your-own jewelry studio that has become a haven for birthday parties and ladies nights out, will close its Summit location Sunday, Nov. 17 after a decade in business on Springfield Avenue.

Owner Emily York said it is with a heavy heart that she had to make the announcement to the shop's loyal customers.

"We are looking at other locations right now, so please stay in touch with us," York said. "In the meantime, we will be operating online and off-site."

York and her team will be available to facilitate in-home birthday parties and other events as well as custom design jewelry at customers' request. Do-it-yourself clients will soon be able to find tools, pre-made jewelry, loose beads, and other supplies via Beadluxe's website.

Now through the store's closing date, Beadluxe will host a sale featuring discounts of up-to 70 percent off.

"It's a great time to get a head start on those handmade holiday gifts," York said.   "Thank you again for a wonderful experience."

Beadluxe is located at 319 Springfield Ave. Summit, NJ 07901. For more information, call 908-598-9111 or visit BeadLuxe's website.
