Share Your Summit Gift Ideas

Know of a great last-minute gift idea or deal in Summit? Share your shopping secrets for the procrastinators in town!

Let's help those who still have Christmas shopping to do (one week left!) and share any last-minute gift ideas or deals in Summit.

Here are a few suggestions to begin crossing people off the list:

For the Hilltopper fans in your life, The Hilltop Shop, located inside Mondo, received new merchandise in time for the holidays. Toddler and baby-wear help tiny spectators get into the act.

The foodie on your list might enjoy a gift card to The Meat House, where marinades and seasonings abound and make unique stocking stuffers. Vita Organic Foods features raw organic chocolate made from pure Ecuadorian raw cacao among other offerings. The Springfield Avenue market is also selling copies of 'Savoring the Shore,' a cook and memory book celebrating the flavors of the Jersey Shore. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the full-color, 128-page book, which retails for $24.99, benefit Hurricane Sandy relief and rebuilding efforts for the Garden State. Sweet Nothings offers a wide variety of chocolates and other confections for candy connoisseurs.

Have a seafood lover in the family? Pick up a gift card to the recently-open Fin Raw Bar and Kitchen.

Those pining for a little pampering this winter might enjoy a time out at one of Summit's new businesses. Blow In Blow Out prides itself on providing a luxurious experience that won't take up too much time or break the bank. Gift cards can be purchased online. Woodhouse Day Spa also makes shopping easy, with spa packages available and printable through its website.

Is there a budding artist on your list? Consider enrolling him or her at Visual Arts Center of NJ. Winter workshops and classes begin in January.

Give the gift of the great outdoors in the form of a membership to the Reeves-Reed Arboretum.

Holiday dollars, courtesy of Summit Dowtown Inc., are valid through Dec. 25. For more information, click here.

While these are a few ideas to get the ball rolling, we want to hear from local business owners and savvy Summit shoppers. Share your shopping tips in the comments!
