A total of 4 to 8 inches is forecasted for the Summit area, however snow total predictions have changed dramatically throughout the day Friday and into early Saturday morning.

"The large range in forecasted snowfall amounts is due to the uncertainty on how far north heavier snow bands will reach," the National Weather Services states.
