Plus: other adorable pooches for you to adopt this weekend.

If you're looking to give an adorable pet friend a home this weekend, look no further. Each week we'll highlight some of the many available pooches currently in foster homes through Home For Good, a non-profit dog rescue based in Summit, and through St. Hubert's Animal Shelter in Madison. If you would like to adopt one of these adorable dogs, fill out an application online at homeforgooddogs.org or call St. Hubert's at (973) 377-2295.

Home For Good

  • Donny: Donny is an 8-month-old Labrador Retriever mix. He loves people and other dogs.
  • Hershey: Hershey is a 12-week-old chocolate lab. He loves people and is super friendly with other dogs! He loves to play and have lots of lab energy. He would be a great running partner, too.
  • Nelda: Nelda and her sister Nellie were found at a high kill shleter in Georgia by accident. Home For Good Rescue was there to pick up three other dogs that were due to be put down. They are about 4 months old and have the most gorgeous green eyes you have ever seen in your life.

  • Mearle: Mearle was found as a stray in Georgia. He absolutely loves other dogs, all people and kids. He is extremey friendly with everyone he meets. He will thrive in absoluteIy any household. He was saved from a kill shelter and now resides in New Jersey but would really like his name changed.
