Ken Herr Honored for 20 Years of Service to Summit First Aid Squad

The Summit High School Junior Varsity girls basketball team won the Union County Championship against A. L. Johnson, 29-24. The finals were played at Kean University.

Ken Herr received a plaque recently commemorating 20 years of volunteer service to the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad from President, Steve Mortenson. Herr is currently a Crew Chief for the Thursday night shift. During his years of active service, Ken has also served as both treasurer and President of the Summit Squad. “Ken’s dedication to the Squad and the community of Summit is an inspiration to us all,” Mortenson said.

Five Summit wrestlers win the Central Jersey Midget Wrestling "B" flight tournament last month.Congrats to Coach Philip Angelo, Liam Dougherty, Mikey Flanagan, Coach Joe Deehan, Damian Abrams, Coach Paul Deehan, Thomas Tarantino, Philip Angelo.

Shortly after, Philip Angelo, wrestling in the 80 pound weight class, won the Central Jersey Midget Wrestling League "A" flight tournament, ending the season with a league record of 19-0 and a overall season record of 37-2
