Police and real estate seemed to top the charts this March among readers in Summit. Also, Summit Patch readers were interested in the Summit High School production of Beauty and the Beast, The Meat House coming to downtown and a new group geared towards moms. 10. Summit Mommies: This Moms Group is For You:  Mommies 24/7 is a unique outlet for moms to chat with other local moms and attend events about all things, well, mom related. Stacey Chaleff has started Summit Mommies, which hosts events in Summit and nearby towns and is open to moms from all surrounding communities. 

9. SOLD! 41 Little Wolf Road Sells For $1.5 Million: A Colonial with five bedrooms, three full baths and two half baths was listed for $1,595,000 and sold $1,500,000. 

8. Summit Firefighters Extricate Man Trapped in Staircase: On March 21, a man fell through the stairs of his home and into a crawl space below. The Summit Fire Department extricated the man and the Rescue Squad transported him to Overlook Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

 6. : Two 18-year-old New Providence residents, were arrested on Feb. 22 at Doremus Street for Possession of 50 Grams or Less Marijuana. Also, a Summit resident and an Irvington resident were arrested for driving while suspended.

5. Summit Police: 2011 Acura MDX Stolen From Templar Way Residence: In this police blotter item, a brown 2011 Acura MDX was stolen from a Templar Way Residence between March 6 and 7.

4. Director: Beauty and The Beast Production Was "A Labor of Love": The weekend of March 8 to 10 was all about performance in Summit. Director Ann Poyner told Patch that the reaction from the public was nothing but positive. She heard from everyone that they loved the performances and the set and costumes were beautiful.

3. Summit Blotter: 71-Year-Old Summit Woman Arrested for Arson: On March 9 a 71-year-old woman was arrested by Summit Police for aggravated arson. According to U.S. Legal Defintions, "Aggravated Arson is an arson accompanied by some aggravating factor, as when the offender foresees or anticipates that one or more persons will be in or near the property being burned."

2. Summit’s The Meat House Revives The Local Butcher With a Modern Twist: Nearly topping the list of most read stories of March is this feature on The Meat House, a butcher and grocer set to open on Springfield Avenue in April. It looks like Summit is excited to see this place open their doors.

1. Summit FD Uses Detergent To Rescue Woman From Springfield Avenue Hole: The most read story of March was the unusual use of laundry detergent by the Summit Fire Department to rescue a woman's leg that became trapped in a hole on Springfield Avenue.
