Plymouth Road Loses Power During Downpour

Resident Ann Romanovsky wrote the following email to Patch regarding tonight's blackout:

Once again, the power is out on Plymouth Road in Summit. The power went out at 8:45pm.

The cause is reported to be a downed wire and a burned out fuse. promised restoration at 11:30 p.m., yet they haven't even found the downed wire and it is now 11:05 p.m.

Power outages have been an ongoing issue on Plymouth Road and it seems no amount of complaining to JCP&L or City Hall helps.

Residents are totally frustrated. Maybe getting this into the media world will help.

I've lived in this house over 20 years, and nothing and no one seems to help. Clearly there is an issue with the power lines behind the Plymouth Road homes. All I ask is that JCP&L does their job and fix the lines! Is that too much to ask?

I live on Plymouth road. When I called JCP&L for status, they told me about the fuse and wire down. I saw the sparks and heard a muffled boom on the pole behind my home. I reported it. The Summit Fire Dept. saw the wire, but JCPL hasn't found it. The lights are still out.

Patch calls to the Summit Fire Department and Summit Police confirmed power outage calls to Plymouth Road.
