Summer Sports In Full Swing

We brought you coverage from the Sharks first two meets of the season.

It sure felt like summer this week. We went from scorching 90 degree days to cool breezes at the end of the week. But despite the weather, the lackadaisical attitude that summer brings was heavy in the air. Here's the rundown in case you're still groggy from the Eclipse opening.

On Monday, we began the week with a season wrap up on the championship track team, a look at the summer job market in Summit, reported on three bear sightings over the weekend and brought you the first in our summer series on lifeguards at the Summit Family Aquatic Center.

On Tuesday, we brought you a report on a recent Anti-Semitic incident in Chatham, brought you coverage from Oratory Prep's graduation ceremony, coverage of the first Sharks swim meet of the season and game coverage from the summer softball league.

On Wedneday we brought you the weekly police blotter, brought you a photo gallery of Twilight fans checking out the midnight showing of the new movie, Eclipse, brought you a preview of the Union County Summer Movie Series, and brought you coverage of the high school summer softball loss to Roselle Park.

On Thursday, we brought you an update on the new recycling changes, an update on the new senate bill that will make changes to the state's affordable housing policy, and coverage of the first home swim meet for the Summit Sharks.
