Summit Community Center to Hold Free Party

The Friday Night Rec! event will feature music and a DJ from 7:00p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Teens are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy for the Toy for Tots Program.

The City of Summit’s Department of Community Programs invites all youth grades 6 – 8 and their friends to Friday Night Rec  Holiday Party on Friday December 16, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  This installment of the annual holiday party is FREE and will feature interactive stations including wrap your friend, a photo booth, holiday sand art/ornaments and more.

All teens in attendance will have the opportunity to design their own ornament, snap some silly pictures with their friends and experience the round robin of interactive holiday theme stations.  Summit Soundz Entertainment will be on site to pump out the hits and some fun holiday songs as well.  Rumor has it that the big man with the sleigh may make an appearance on the dance floor as well.  Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Although admission is free, teens are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy for the Toy for Tots Program.  The Holiday Party is fully chaperoned by the staff of the Department of Community Programs and is located at 100 Morris Avenue.  Teens are required to stay the entire time once they sign in, as there is no re-entry for any Friday Night Rec!  events.
