Summit Veteran's Day Events

Local groups recognize Veterans Day, with gala event at Summit Hotel, tonight.

This year marks a special date for Veterans Day. Below are some of the local events that will celebrate the men and woman who have served, or still serve, in the armed forces.

 

  • Today at 11 a.m. (on 11/11/11), the Summit Y on 67 Maple Street will hold a Veterans Day Brunch. (908) 273-3330 ext. 167

  • The Summit-based Veterans support group, Bonds of Courage will hold a gala event "From Oath to Home: An Evening to Honor Our Troops" at the Grand Summit Hotel. Cocktail hour starts at 6:30p.m. The event costs $175 and includes entertainment, auctions, door prizes and a keynote address by New Jersey's Adjutant General, Major General Glenn K. Rieth.
