Taking it to the ice: The Hilltopper boys ice hockey team faces the Cranford Cougars at Warinanco Skating Center in Roselle today. Game starts at 6p.m.

Winning strokes: The boys and girls varisty swim teams take on Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Tuesday. Meet starts at 3p.m. The boys swim team is ranked one of the top in the state.

 

Ready for high school?: will host a parents night for the incoming 9th grade class. The meeting will take place Wednesday in the high school cafeteria starting at 7 p.m.

 

Prison Art/Public Culture:  The  hosts a free event that examines works by U.S. prison inmates as part of its Thursday evening salon series. From 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Reservations are required by calling (908) 273-9121 or going online.

 

Register for LEGO-building: This year's family LEGO-building workshop takes place on Jan. 29, but this Friday, starting at 10 a.m. is the day to secure your spot. Learn about Summit's architecture with this unique family event. Space is limited to 50 families. Bring a check for at least $25 to (the event's co-sponsor).
